Reviewing the monthly bills....

Updated: Jan 6, 2019

It's that time of year again when I have a very detailed look at what I spent money on through the year, what new service I signed unto and whether I'm still using the things I pay a subscription for.

It never ceases to amaze me, how when I get excited about something I sign up for it and then within a few months, something else comes along, my working habits change or the particular focus I had at the time to 'need' that extra thing, moves on.

I'm really pleased to have done it this year, I've knocked off £115 a month from the outgoings !! No more Linked in Premium, reduced the Mobile package I'm on, stopped using TypePad and moved to a cheaper Wix. I haven't used Ancestry for some time, and somehow managed to acquire a second Netflix account during the year. Then of course there were the 'In App purchase subscriptions for a couple of Apple Games I played on my iPad', all stopped.

So I'm feeling really happy - it's the cost of a holiday, just wasting away, because I hadn't spent the time to work through the bank account in fine detail.

Now to turn my attention to what I'm giving to, who will go up, who will stop ?
