Being privileged to live 10 minutes from the beach, we thought we would find a place that was flat, long, and beautiful.
The seafront at Aberavon is 1.25 miles long so the length and back from parking the car is 2.5 miles.
Still building up our ability and slowly moving from desk potato, it was about half a mile running and then the rest as fast-walked pace as we could achieve.
I have to say, I've felt great all day today. It's been over a week since the first jog, Rebekah and I had some virus, which knocked us out for over a week.
I'll keep posting the updates, but we aim to get upto a 2.5 mile run in the next month or so.
We've downloaded the NHS Couch to 5K app, which is good and also started to look at Strava, to record the journey.
