Hello 2026

Updated: Jan 4

We had a quieter Christmas this year, with a couple of friends around from Church, who would have been home alone otherwise.

A full meal with all the trimmings, a call to our Uganda family (The Santids) to touch base with Santid, Birungi, Vera, Vida, Verny and Vihan. All was well and good.

Then on Boxing Day, we headed to London to prepare for a holiday to Malta for a week. A great time to decompress, to pray, to laugh, to relax from a very busy year and to prepare for the year ahead.

I always find this time of year peaceful enough to take a week or two to seriously pray through all the various things going on in life and ministry, to wind down what isn't working and ramp up what looks like it will flourish.

One of the most significant decisions and surprises of the year was to make all of our resources (books, etc.) online for free. We did this on the 15th August, and since then, they have been read over 150,000 times. I'm currently working on a series of 26 children's books (one for each letter of the alphabet), to help children with their literacy in East Africa. take a look at all of this via www.imani.org/resources

While we were away in Malta, we did a lot of day trips, experiencing the culture, rich history and scenery the islands have to offer.

When visiting a stone carving store, I found this unique stone carving.

I was immediately thankful for the way God sends his angels (Michael in this carving) to protect us, to help us and to guide us closer to Jesus.

In 2026, my prayer has been to simplify our lives to the point where our faith is more central, our focus on life is more Godly, and the way we do things in life is more holy.

May the evil one be under our feet, may his servants be vanquished by the angels around us and ultimately, may we be more involved in building the Kingdom of God than ever.

Wherever you live and whatever you do this year, do it righteously and with all of your heart.

Have a blessed 2026.
