Houston we have a problem...

We bought an old house which we have been slowly renovating. The first big job was a full re-wire, which meant putting number of the upstair floor boards up, finding all the things that were down right dangerous that the previous owners did (always cutting corners).

The kitchen used to be two smaller rooms, which we knocked into one. The floors were at difference levels the roof had seen better days. So everything was ripped out, dug up and replace with new, also a new roof put on the extension.

There was one problem, the upstairs bathroom, has a pipe which goes through the wall into the roof space void and then connects to the hidden stentch pipe - and it leaked. Water pouring through the ceiling onto the floor. We had no choice but to cut a hole in the ceiling to fix the problem and will now put a long slim hatch in, to provide easier access to pipe work in the roof void in the future.

Oh the joys of renovating.
