The Santid Family

It has been such a joy to reconnect with Santid. I first met him in 1998 and we lost touch over the years.

Since then, he got married to Birungi and they have four children, Vera, Vida, Verney and Vihan.

We've become like family. Santid and Birungi have no parents and the children have no grandparents, so we decided let's fix that. So Santid and Birungi call me dad, and the kids call me Grandpa. It's so lovely.

It did take a bit of explaining to Rebekah, when I let he know, she's now grandma to four kids in Africa, but it all worked out in the end.
