With all the advances in the world, Elon Musk has now said, humans will soon be able to download themselves into a robot. The suggestion of living forever.
Humans seem to always want to be God.
If we don't have a relationship with Jesus, we have nothing to look forward to. No eternity, no heaven, nothing.
It's astonishing to think that life has become so commercialised that when we grow old, we will seemingly have an opt-out option.
The people around us will not experience our loss on earth; they will just need to accept our 'new body'.
This brings three problems to us.
1) Should our existence be determined by humans who want to play God ?
2) What about legacy? If everyone can now live forever, who controls the code that allows that? What is the cost of sustaining your life when you become code within a robot?
3) What about eternity? For a Christian, we desire one day to meet our creator, we desire to contribute to Joy, so sing for Him, fellowship with Him, love Him in a place beyond the stars. Will a robot ever do that?
A lot to think about for the pending future....
